Mobbin in the MTC
Yo Yo Yo what up everybody. Its your boi Elder hernandez emailing you from my first P-day in the MTC. I left last Wednesday at 9 PM and got to the MTC about 9 PM ghana time on Thursday. The first flight was niiice. i was in the middle row with an open seat next to me and a girl from denmark next to that seat. i figured that was the last time i could actually talk to a girl for two years so i was talking to her the whole 10 hour flight. we got to the amsterdam airport with around an hour and a half to spare so we took our time getting to the next airport and everyone thought we were crazy because we were a group of 34 young men in white shirts and ties walking around in one big group. Our flight had 2 missionaries from arizona 2 from california one from idaho and one from saudi arabia. the rest were from all around utah.
The first day we were all so exhausted. we had meetings all day in the gym/auditorium so everyone just slept. everyday has basically been just classes so I wont bore you with that but we do practice teaching/meeting people. Our teachers change shirts and act like different people so we do a private lesson with them each day. One with brother kumi kumi and we just met brother ronald yesterday. im very good at the first contact part of the teaching and getting to know the interested people but when it comes to teaching a lesson its pretty rough.
if i could have one question for every person in ghana it would be... why is everything spicy?
I understand the chicken and they put a sauce on the rice but yesterday i was so happy to see that we had spaghetti and got a big bowl of it but when i took a bite it was spicy. so i took a sip of my drink and that was even more spicy. I was exited to have grape juice but it was not grape juice. it was fire. i drank straight fire. and not the good straight fire like one of kendricks albums.
Speaking of music. i have had a different song stuck in my head each day. I just sing it all day to keep me sane here. without music im going crazy. i have never gone longer than a day without listening to one of my fire playlists.
hope everything is well
Your boi
