Christmas week

This week was a lot of fun but it was very crazy as well. I feel like it took forever because every day was super busy. On Tuesday we had a District party for all of Tamale district. It was a lot of fun and a lot of people showed up so I was very happy about that. On Wednesday was Christmas and we spent the afternoon calling home and the evening with the senior couple The Wights. It was a way fun time and I am so happy to have them here with us in Tamale. Yesterday we had a baptism and it was insane. The poly tank was empty after about 16 inches of water. We waited a few hours trying to figure it out but eventually I said i can do it. We did the service and everything two hours late. When she went under the water i didn't know she had a fear of water so she instantly jumped out and was going crazy. I was kneeling and she slipped right on me so I had to catch her. The witnesses said that she was able to completely submerge before she came out so we moved on . When they are...

Tamale

This week was transfers so it was kinda crazy but we didn't really do much. Monday and Tuesday we prepared to leave by washing and saying goodbye then Wednsday we left for transfers. We don't get told where we are going before transfers so the whole time you are going you get phone calls from people asking if you know yet. We have a thermometer in our bedroom and the other day it was at 35 degrees celsius which is 95 degrees. It might be a rough transfer with heat but it seems that the work is doing well right now so hopefully we can find joy in that.  Because of the long travel we ...

This week was definitely one to remember. It was my first thanksgiving of the mission and it was way fun actually. Last two weeks in my interview with president he asked if I had plans for thanksgiving and I told him maybe we'll go chop some pigeon at a members house. That changed when the zone leaders called and said they wanted to have an activity with all the people that celebrate thanksgiving (basically just the elders). We went to the Boukrom apartment on wednesday and stayed the night. Thursday we all made different food, watched movies and called our families. It was so fun to have a day where we could just chill. Saturday was transfer saturday so we were all getting transfer news. I thought I would get transferred because I have been here for 3 already. In the morning President calls everyone getting a calling then at night the zone leaders call everyone else. We got a call in the morning from President and my companion was called ...
