Investigators on Investigators on Investigators

This week kinda sucked because of the hard work we did. I was so tired after every day and was about to die after each day especially the end. We talked to everyone we knew and told them to come to branch conference and invite everyone they know and they did!! We had 80 investigators come and we were constantly trying to find more chairs to fit them all. We had people outside the doors and looking in through the windows because we couldn't fit everyone. We used ever chair in the building. The stake presidency had a class just for new people so they could answer questions and teach small small about the church so we were able to put down a total of 31 new investigators this week.

Baptisms: We have 5 planned baptisms this week. (would have been 6 but we found out as we were filling out the baptism record that he lives with a girl and they aren't married so we need to figure it out first) I had my third baptism on monday (why I am emailing today) her name is sister Theodora and we first taught her on wensday. We had to teach a lesson a day then the interview in order for her to be baptized so quick to work with her schedule. We have two baptisms on saturday for two boys that we LOVE. Steven and Cosmos are two of Richmonds friends (one of the members recently baptized) he invited them to church 3 weeks ago and we are going to baptize them in the river they like to swim in. Its gonna be a dope africa experience. These boys call us everyday wondering where we are because they love to be around us. They say they want to go on missions now so we are making a new tie every week for them to remember us. Another baptism is sister Ataa who is legit. We go to sister marys house everyday (right next to ataa) and it is the party house. Everyone from around the area comes to the house and plays games or just hangs out. We play games with them using rubber bands. You can go small playing one rubber at a time where whoever can throw it the furthest wins and takes both, you can go medium where you toss them and the first person to land one on the other takes all that were thrown, or you but a small stick and shoot them at it whoever hits the stick wins, or big money where you put a stack of 5, 10, 20 whatever and you throw flip flops at it. The first one to hit them out of the circle wins all. Elder Jacobson and I bought a bag of about 800 for 5 cedis (one dollar) and we play for hours at that house then we can teach some kids lessons along the way. People stop by and ask questions as well. Its super cool.

Town/Market: We went into town monday to buy some stuff and got deep into the black market. We saw some dope shoes so we started looking around and asking if we could find any crocodile skin shoes so they told us to ask someone through this skinny hallway. We walked through the store to find two stories of shops selling all shoes. we went to the one they told us to go to and they had off white Jordan 1's and off white converse. We kept asking and found some of the dopest stuff that they get and I bought a lewis vuitton belt that is legit. next week when we go we will have more time and we took some numbers so we are going to find some legit stuff.

Its a lot of fun out here in the GKM and a lot of hard work but im pushing through. Hope everyones doing well,

Elder Hernandez
